Généralités: Le séminaire libre a lieu chaque vendredi 13h15 - 15h et 15h15 - 17h dans la salle de séminaires Math II - Lonza. La liste ci-dessous propose les domaines dans lesquels vous pouvez choisir un sujet de séminaire libre.

Allgemeines: Das freie Seminar findet jeweils am Freitag, 13.15 - 15.00 Uhr und 15.15 - 17.00 Uhr im Math II Seminarraum (Lonza) statt. Der Index (unten) gibt einen Überblick über die verschiedenen Gebiete, in denen Seminarthemen für das "freie Seminar" angeboten werden.

General info: The Free-seminar takes place every Friday 13h15 - 15h and 15h15 - 17h in the seminar room Math II - Lonza. The list below proposes some of the domains in which you can pick your topic for the Free-seminar.

Inscriptions: A la fin de chaque semestre, une discussion est organisée pour déterminer les dates et les sujets des séminaires libres du semestre suivant. Tous les étudiants interessés sont invités à cette discussion par un avis affiché dans le département. Il est recommendé de contacter auparavant un enseignant-spécialiste, selon la liste ci-dessous. Par la suite, la proposition de programme sera publiée à l'entrée du département. Pour l'inscription tardive ou changement de sujet, merci de contacter les enseignants-spécialistes.

Einschreibung: Jeweils am Semesterende (siehe separaten Aushang) findet eine Vorbesprechung für das folgende Semester statt. Zu dieser Vorbesprechung sind alle interessierten Studierenden eingeladen. Die Besprechung bietet Gelegenheit, Einzelheiten zu den verschiedenen Themen zu erfragen und Termine abzustimmen. Es wird empfohlen, sich gegebenenfalls schon im Vorfeld mit einzelnen Dozenten in Verbindung zu setzen (siehe Index). Eine Liste mit dem Vortragsprogramm wird danach am Anschlagbrett beim Eingang des Mathematikgebäudes publiziert. Für eine nachträgliche Einschreibung wenden Sie sich bitte an den betreuenden Dozierenden.

Inscriptions: At the end of each semester, we organize a discussion about the topics and dates for the next semester. All interested students are invited for this discussion by a Department notice. The aim of this meeting is to fix a topic and a date of its presentation. We recommend that you contact beforehand the corresponding tutor, according to the list of domains of expertise below. Next, a proposal of the programme is going to be published at the Department entrance. For a late inscription or change of date, please contact your tutors.

Evaluation: The evaluation of seminars and proseminars are based on the active participation of the candidate, both when presenting his/her talk and when being part of the audience. A presence list is being established. The credits for the seminars are attributed or not, without grades. If the candidate have chosen the option "seminar with a written report", he/she has to submit a report on the presented topic.

Evaluation: Die Evaluation von Seminaren und Proseminaren erfolgt aufgrund der aktiven Teilnahme in Form eines Vortrags und der Teilnahme als Zuhörer(in). Die Präsenz wird in einer Liste festgehalten. Ein Seminar wird angenommen oder nicht; es wird keine Note erteilt. Wenn die Option "Seminar mit schriftlicher Arbeit" gewählt wurde, muss zudem ein Skript verfasst werden.

Evaluation: L'évaluation des séminaires et pro-séminaires se base sur la participation active du candidat, sous forme de la presentation d'un exposé ainsi que la participation en tant qu'auditeur. Une liste de présence sera établie à chaque séminaire. Les crédits pour les séminaires seront attribuées ou pas, sans évaluation par une note. Si le candidat a choisi une option "séminaire avec un travail écrit", il doit rédiger et soumettre un script résumant ses propos.
